Dear Fordham Community,

We are pleased to announce that the shopping experience for Fordham course materials and merchandise is about to undergo some exciting changes!  Over the past year, we have worked with faculty, administrators, staff, and students to reimagine the way we deliver course materials and campus retail experiences to best support educators and students of the 21st century. In support of these efforts, we have partnered with Follett Higher Education, a trailblazer in collegiate retail, to achieve this strategy.

What does this mean for the Fordham community?

Beginning in June, expect more than just a place to pick up textbooks. Imagine a shopping experience that embodies and reflects the Fordham community, offering:
  • A diverse range of apparel and accessories, including local and sustainable products.
  • The latest technology and services to support learners in the digital age.
  • A welcoming community space for events and gatherings.
  • Convenient access to everything from gifts to snacks to school supplies.
This new experience will happen both on campus and online, offering access to course materials, apparel, technology, and more. Online shoppers can find an expanded assortment of merchandise—beyond what’s offered in store—and enjoy 24/7 access to the products and course materials they need.

Who is Follett Higher Education?

Follett is the industry leader in collegiate retail and is known for developing customized solutions that support learning, accelerate affordable access to course materials, and foster a memorable collegiate retail experience. Follett partners with over 1,000 campuses across North America.

Follett was selected through a rigorous competitive bidding process that included stakeholders from across the university, including faculty, administrators, staff, and students.

What happens next?

Tomorrow, Fordham faculty, instructors, and their support staff will receive an email directly from Follett with specific instructions on preparing book adoptions for the upcoming summer II and fall semesters.  Please keep a close eye on your inbox for that outreach.

As we prepare for the launch of the Fordham Store, we will be in touch with even more information for key groups on campus. Our most important priority is a successful transition for our entire Fordham community.

Our team is excited to share more with you about elevating your campus store experience next semester. Keep an eye on your inbox for updates about our online store launch in mid-June. In the meantime, if you have any questions about this transition, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at FordhamCampusStore@fordham.edu.
