The Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute is an arts, culture, education and media organization that advances cultural equity, racial and social justice for African descendant communities. CCCADI's programs serve children/youth, families, young professionals, elders, local and international artists, and practitioners of African-based spiritual traditions. Through our work CCCADI offers a collective space where African descendants honor the contributions of the global African Diaspora through exhibitions, performances, conferences, educational programs, and international exchanges.

The Digital MarComms intern will work with the Director of Communications and the Comms/New Media team in executing the organization's marketing and strategic communications plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This intern will be:
- Specifically, the intern will be responsible for creating social media content that uplifts the Diaspora and engages the CCCADI community, while also marketing the organization's initiatives.
- Additionally, the intern will learn marketing and public relations systems, including Mailchimp and Muckrack to create campaigns targeting the organization's 12K+ audience, and its media lists.
- Interns will have an opportunity to learn how to analyze metrics to inform organizational strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
An applicant for this position should have interest and experience in communications, media, marketing, journalism, public relations:
- Proficient in social media platforms
- Knowledge of writing press releases or writing for mass media
- Understanding/ability to create emails in an email marketing system
- Experience with content creation, graphic design (Adobe/Canva) a plus
